Call for papers

At the interface of biology, computer science, mathematics and physics, JOBIM is the annual event that unites the community and actors of bioinformatics in France. All areas of bioinformatics are welcome. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Algorithms and NGS
  • Database
  • Structural bioinformatics
  • Systems biology
  • Evolution, phylogeny and population genetics
  • Functional genomics
  • Metabolomics
  • Metagenomics
  • Proteomics
  • QTL / GWAS and personalized medicine
  • Reproducibility, open science, workflows, FAIR
  • Statistics, machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Visualization

This year, four types of submissions are expected:

  • Poster: a one page summary (350 words, no references). Four possible categories:
    1. General (scientific results);
    2. Demo (computer-based presentation of a software, a database and a workflow);
    3. Platforms and services activities;
    4. Thematic networks, working groups and associations.
    Some posters will be invited for a flash presentation.
  • Highlight (oral presentation) : a one-page summary accompanied by a article published after January 1, 2019.
  • Proceeding (oral presentation) : an article between 4 and 8 pages.
  • Platforms and services activities (oral presentation during IFB session) : maximum 2 pages summary.

All submissions are expected in English, in the form of a PDF file. To ensure that the conference will be accessible to the non-French speakers, posters and slides of accepted presentations will be written in English. The language of presentation will be at the choice of the speaker, but presentations in English will be favored for plenary sessions.
